Silkolitt Supa

The Silkolitt Supa External Wall Insulation (EWI) system from Alumasc Facades by K Rend comprises a high quality silicone rendered finish that is applied over the Alumasc Facades by K Rend Polymer Render (MR S4) and the high performance Alumasc Facades by K Rend Supa phenolic insulation. Silkolitt Supa comprises the most thermally-efficient insulation board, allowing thermal performance to be achieved with the minimum possible construction thickness.

This BBA-approved system comprises the following components:

  • Silkolitt+ Silicone Render
  • Alumasc Facades by K Rend Silicone Primer
  • Alumasc Facades by K Rend Polymer Render (MR S4)
  • Alumasc Facades by K Rend Scrim Reinforcement
  • Alumasc Facades by K Rend Scrim Adhesive
  • Alumasc Facades by K Rend insulation fixing
  • Alumasc Facades by K Rend Supa phenolic insulation
  • Alumasc Facades by K Rend Bedding Adhesive
  • Substrate

Key Features

Silkolitt Supa is suitable for inclusion in both low- and high-rise specifications. The thermal insulation properties of the Alumasc Facades by K Rend Supa phenolic insulation board are ideally suited to refurbishment projects due to the lower thickness of the EWI system. Silkolitt+ provides a clean and contemporary silicone render finish with a wide choice of colours and textures available to suit the architect’s design requirements.

Key Performance Criteria:

  • Fire performance: Class 0 spread of flame
  • Thermal performance: Typical U Values are:
    • 60 mm Supa insulation ~ 0.28 – 0.30 W/m2K
    • 90 mm Supa insulation ~ 0.20 – 0.21 W/m2K

  • BBA Certificate 93/2914 PS3

  • Choice of 8 standard colours, but available in any NCS colour reference
  • UV resistant colour pigments are used for optimal colour fastness
  • Choice of 3 grain sizes – 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm or 3.0 mm – offers a range of textural finishes
  • High water and dirt repellency protects against freeze-thaw failure & fungal growth
  • High tensile adhesion strength prevents delamination and flaking
  • Good flexibility provides resistance to cracking and increasing durability

  • Masonry substrates
  • New build or refurbishment projects
  • Low- and high-rise properties in accordance with Alumasc’s High Rise Policy
