VBriQ Exicco Pro

VBriQ Exicco Pro is an NHBC-compliant drained cavity system that comprises the VBriQ synthetic brick slip finish on Alumasc Pro mineral wool insulation board. The VBriQ Exicco Pro system from Alumasc Facades is typically used with new build steel frame constructions and replicates the appearance of brick without many of the constraints associated with brick-based construction.

This BBA-approved system comprises the following components:

Key Features

VBriQ Exicco Pro from Alumasc Facades is an A2 fire-rated drained cavity EWI system that is suitable for both low- and high-rise buildings. The drained cavity behind the insulation ensures that any interstitial moisture escapes without detriment to the performance of the system. The VBriQ synthetic brick slips can be manufactured to replicate almost any brick type and used in conjunction with a range of mortar colours to achieve the design intent of the architect.

Key Performance Criteria:

  • Fire performance: A2-s1,d0
  • Thermal performance: Typical U Values are:
    • 100 mm Pro insulation ~ 0.30 W/m2K
    • 120 mm Pro insulation ~ 0.26 W/m2K
    • 170 mm Pro insulation ~ 0.19 W/m2K
  • Acoustic performance: Weighted sound reduction index of c. 5 – 8 dB

Aesthetics:

  • VBriQ finishes can replicate any UK brick’s colour and texture
  • VBriQ slips can be supplied in a number of size formats
  • VBriQ slips are lightweight – at c. 4.5 kg/m2
  • VBriQ is cost-effective to transport (up to 6,000 m2 of bricks can be transported per truck)
  • Energy efficient manufacturing – requires c. 12% of the energy to produce traditional bricks
  • Quick and simple to install (often upwards of 10 m2/day)
  • High UV resistance to ensure that the original brick colour is maintained
